THE ALLEY in THE SUMMER

2023-2024 SEASON | SUMMER SHOWS

July 5-7, 2024
RED, WHITE & TUNA
by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, & Ed Howard

Raymond Kester,
Andrew Persinger,
and Martin Stapleton
reprise their roles in this, the third in a series of comedic plays (GREATER TUNA, A TUNA CHRISTMAS, TUNA DOES VEGAS) each set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the “third-smallest” town in the state. The plays are at once an affectionate comment on small-town, Southern life and attitudes but also a withering satire of same. The plays are notable in that these three men play the entire cast of nearly twenty eccentric characters of both genders and various ages. Directed by Tiffany Johnson, this production will be held in THE FELLOWSHIP HALL at CENTRAL  (right down the hall from the theatre / 923 Jackson in Anderson). Tables for 8 and Chairs will be set / indoor picnics & wine are encouraged!

Friday & Saturday performances at 7:00pm / Sunday performance at 2:00pm, CLICK ON THE POSTER TO PURCHASE TICKETS.

August 9-11, 2024
A COMEDY OF ERRORS
by William Shakespeare

Kay Winter is stage director for this shortest of the Shakespearean comedies.  Complete with mistaken identities, twins separated at birth, shipwrecks, etc. you can’t go wrong when Shakespeare goes for the laughs.  We see the twins try to navigate through a world that seems to have lost all its wits.

This summer performance is inside our theatre, at THE ALLEY THEATRE (923 Jackson Street – please enter at the alley door off Jackson) Friday & Saturday performances are at 7:00pm and Sunday’s performance is at 2:00pm
